— Arkansas' Marshawn Powell was named the Southeastern Conference's player of the week Monday after combining for 44 points in wins over Auburn and Missouri.

Powell, a redshirt junior, scored 24 points in the Razorbacks' 73-71 win over Missouri on Saturday after scoring 20 in an 83-75 win at Auburn earlier in the week.

He is the second Arkansas player to earn the honor this season, joining guard BJ Young. Powell is averaging 15.2 points and a team-high 5.4 rebounds for the Razorbacks this season.
