Little Rock Central junior running back Logan Moragne and his father traveled to Fayetteville on Monday for an unofficial visit to Arkansas.
Moragne, 5-9, 180, 4.61 seconds in the 40 yard dash, received a tour of the campus and was able to sit down and talk to tight end coach Barry Lunney Jr.
"He told me I was on his top 25 in-state prospect list," Moragne said. "He also said he likes my highlights from this season. He talked about my special team abilities on kickoff returns and my speed. He said he wants me to attend camp this summer and to stay in touch with him."
Moragne attended the Semper Fi All American combine in Carson, California in early January and was one of the better performers with a 4.10 time in the pro-shuttle, a 33-inch vertical. He earned praise from several running the event with his showing in the 1-on-1's.
He rushed 150 times for 866 yards and 6 touchdowns last season and had 6 receptions for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns. He returned 7 kickoffs for 224 yards and 99 yard touchdown against North Little Rock.
Arkansas' education opportunities in his desired field impressed Moragne.
"I like how they have their business school set up," he said. "You have to take a mandatory four classes in case you don't know which part of business go into."
Moragne, who is also looking to attend camps at TCU, Missouri and Alabama, said competing against the best of the best at the Semper Fi All American combine gave him a boost of confidence.
"It helped me improve on my skills first off," Moragne said. "It also kind of helped me work harder after seeing how I stacked up against some of the best competition in the nation. It pushes me in the weight room."
