Peavey visit update

Rafe Peavey of Bolivar, Mo., became Arkansas’ first oral commitment for the 2014 class.

Arkansas commitment and quarterback Rafe Peavey spent about four hours (9 am to 1 pm) visiting the Hogs today.

Peavey,6-2, 197, 4,5 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Bolivar, Missouri spent about an hour and a half with offensive coordinator Jim Chaney and was given a tour of the campus by in-campus recruiting coordinator Chris Hauser. One of the highlights was going to the SEC Indoor meet and touring the new football complex.

He said Chaney made it easy to understand the offensive philosophy and explained things very well.

Peavey, who picked Arkansas over scholarship offers from Missouri, Nebraska, UCLA, Boston College, Ole Miss, West Virginia and others last summer said the visit was positive and reinforced his commitment to the Razorbacks.
