Thursday recruiting tidbits

North Little Rock running back Altee Tenpenny jumps over Cabot defensive back Jordan Burke during the Charging Wildcats’ 28-0 victory in the Class 7A quarterfinals Friday night in North Little Rock. Tenpenny, who rushed for 141 yards in Friday’s victory, was penalized on the play for hurdling. The Charging Wildcats will begin their first season without Tenpenny tonight after Tenpenny graduated and signed with Alabama.

Arkansas OC and QB coach Jim Chaney and RB coach Joel Thomas will make an in-home visit with NLR RB Altee Tenpenny on Wednesday night. Tenpenny, an Alabama commitment, will visit the Tide this weekend and Arkansas Jan. 18.

More info on the offer to Tennessee commitment and DE Joe Sanders of LaGrange Ga. that was reported by Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal- Constitution Thursday morning. Sanders said Arkansas DC Chris Ash told him Wednesday night of the offer. He said this afternoon he might visit Arkansas.

Sanders, 6-5, 270 reports running a 4.69 time in the 40 yard dash. He plans to visit Washington this weekend and Tennessee visit will likely be on the 25th. Hog LB coach Randy Shannon and DL Charlie Partridge will visit his school on Tuesday, he said.

Arkansas LB signee Martrell Spaight will officially visit Arkansas Jan. 18

Hog commitment and Ath. Drew Morgan said receiver coach George McDonald will make an in-home visit Sunday afternoon.
