Palm Desert, (Calif.) Community College tight end Brandon Vandenburg, who committed to Vanderbilt on Saturday, said in a text message he does not plan to visit Arkansas on Jan. 25.
As reported on Saturday, offensive linemen Reeve Koehler, 6-3, 315, 5.2 seconds in the 40 yard, of Honolulu St. Louis high school committed to Arkansas.

Safety Dominique Alexander of Tulsa Washington said he enjoyed his visit and getting to know the coaches. he believes the program is going in the right direction. He also enjoyed talking to the players. Alexander said Arkansas receivers coach Michael Smith, who recruited him at Kansas State, told him he needs to jump on board and he wouldn't have left K-State if he didn't believe in what Arkansas was doing. He said he liked what coach Bret Bielema is about. He said if he were to change his commitment from Oklahoma to Arkansas it would be on signing day.
North Little Rock running back Altee Tenpenny said he enjoyed hanging out with his two hosts, cornerback Tevin Mitchel and offensive lineman Cordale Boyd. He said the players told him the same as others and to be a Hog and stay in-state. He wants to go back home and talk to his parents and see how they liked the trip. He said the staff seemed down-to-earth and were hungry to win. He'll make his final decision on signing day.
Receiver Jervenski Johnson of Amite, La. and safety Khari Harding of Edmond, Okla. are no longer considered Arkansas commitments. The Hogs have five junior college signees and seven commitments for a total of 12 for the 2013 class.

Linebacker Brooks Ellis, an Arkansas commitment from Fayetteville, said Coach Bret Bielema made true what he said at his press conference about having a staff that's second to none. He said this after meeting all of the coaches and learning more about them. Even though he's from Fayetteville he was blown away by the Catfish Hole experience. He said the Hog commitments talked to running back Altee Tenpenny but tried not to pressure him in flipping to Arkansas. He was encouraged.

Greenwood Ath. Drew Morgan said he's not going to visit Auburn after his visit to Arkansas. The coaching staff and the hiring of Michael Smith as receivers coach is why he's not heading to Auburn for a visit.Very impressed that Smith left Kansas State for Arkansas and really clicked with him and is looking forward to playing for him. He was hosted by offensive lineman Mitch Smothers.

Punter Sam Irwin-Hill, 6-3, 215 of City College of San Francisco is being counted as a commitment. The second pledge for the Hogs this weekend.
Irwin-Hill is from Bendigo, Australia and learned how to kick from Pro Kick Australia, an academy that helps kickers with Division I potential find schools in the United States. This past season, he punted 44 times for a 46.1 yard average and had a long of 77 yards and downed 15 inside the 15 yard line and didn't suffer a blocked punt.

To expand more on the Khari Harding not being counted as an Arkansas commitment that was posted this morning at 10:57. Arkansas backed off of him last week and decided not to recruit him.

Arkansas commitment and Forrest City defensive end Tevin Beanum said meeting the coaches, players and other commitments highlighted his weekend visit to Arkansas. He wanted to know what type of chemistry he would have with the coaches and he found that easily done. Very high on defensive line coach Charlie Partridge. He was told by players how Partridge reaches out to them on a personal level.
He said he dared Altee Tenpenny to stand up and call the Hogs and of course that's what happened. He was hosted by cornerback Davyon 'Sleepy' McKinney, who attended Forrest City.
Receiver Cory Cooper of Raleigh, N.C. talked to Arkansas tonight and is all set to go for his Jan. 25 visit. He was told to call new receivers coach Michael Smith in the morning.
Athlete Brisly Estime of Delray Beach, Fla. tweeted he'll be visiting Arkansas Feb. 1.

Running back Denzell Evans of Bellaire (Tx.) high school said he will be visiting Arkansas Jan. 25. His teammate, offensive lineman Dwayne Johnson was expected to visit but he has committed to Nebraska and won't be coming, according to Evans.

Arkansas will see running back Alex Collins on Wednesday. Not sure if it's school or home visit. Collins is expected to visit Jan. 25.
Receiver Devon Allen and his father, Louis will not visit Arkansas this weekend but Feb. 1. They hoped to make on the 25th.
