— The National College Baseball Writers Association announced its preseason rankings on Monday and Arkansas topped the list.

Razorbacks in the Rankings

No. 1 - USA Today/Coaches, Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, NCBWA

No. 2 - Perfect Game USA

No. 3 - Baseball America

The NCBWA poll marks the third set of rankings to list Arkansas as its No. 1 team. It is also the fifth and final preseason poll to be released before the season begins.

With Arkansas atop the rankings in three of the five preseason baseball polls (NCBWA, the USA Today Coaches poll and the Collegiate Baseball preseason poll), the Razorbacks are the consensus No. 1 team in the country. The Razorbacks are ranked second in the Perfect Game preseason rankings and are the third-ranked team in the Baseball America poll.

Arkansas began preseason practices on Friday in preparation for the season opener against Western Illinois. The Razorbacks are scheduled to host the Leathernecks for a three-game series beginning on Friday, Feb. 15 at 3:05 p.m.
