Nine added to UA Sports Hall of Fame

— Barry Foster, Dickey Morton and Charles Balentine highlight the 2013 class of inductees to the University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.

Foster and Morton are two of the Razorbacks' all-time leading rushers, and are two of four football players included in this year's class.

Morton, who played from 1971-73, rushed for 1,268 yards as a senior, setting a school record that stood for more than two decades. His 3,317 career rushing yards rank third in school history and he finished with 16 rushing touchdowns.

Foster, who played five seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers, lettered at Arkansas from 1987-89 and rushed for 1,977 career yards.

Balentine, a four-year basketball letterman from 1982-85, is best known for his game-winning shot to beat No. 1 North Carolina in Pine Bluff on Feb. 12, 1984.

Other inductees in this year's class include Calvin Davis (track & field), Greg D'Alexander (baseball), Cheryl McArton Ward (swimming), Edel Hackett (track & field), Don Christian (football) and Buddy Sutton (football). All nine will be inducted during an Aug. 30 ceremony in Springdale.
