Eluemunor ready to experience Arkansas

Highly touted junior college offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor was a key Arkansas target.

Heavily recruited junior college offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor is on a fact finding mission on his official visit to Arkansas that started today and ends on Saturday.

Eluemunor, 6-5 1/2, 315 pounds of Scranton (Pa.) Lackawanna Community College has more than 20 scholarship offers including Arkansas, Ohio State, UCLA, Texas A&M and Penn State. He wants to learn more about Coach Bret Bielema and offensive line coach Sam Pittman.

“I just want to get to know coach Pittman and Coach Bielema personally because I’ve been talking to them for a long time,” Eluemunor said before arriving for his visit. “Just want to see what they’re like in person. I want to see the environment and how the facilities and players are.”

He plans to find out how the Razorback players from different state like Arkansas.

“I want to see how it’s different and see how they adjusted,” said Eluemunor, who’s committed to UCLA. “Then I want to see how it is with coach Bielema because I know it’s probably different from when Coach (Bobby) Petrino was here. I want to see how it is with coach Bielema now.”

Pittman, who recruited and coached North Carolina offensive guard Jonathan Cooper, the No. 7 overall pick in the NFL Draft, has compared Eluemunor to Cooper.

“Me and coach Pittman have a really good relationship,” Eluemunor said. “So I’m just going to hangout with him. I know we’re going to have fun. I’m just down to have fun with the coaches really.”

Eluemunor is ready to experience the famous Catfish Hole restaurant.

“I’ve heard a lot about it but I don’t know a lot about it,” he said. “Some of the fans on Twitter have told me about the Catfish Hole. They asked me if I was going to be there. I spoke to the coaches about it but they didn’t want to tell me anything.”

Eluemunor, who has officially visited the Buckeyes and Bruins, will try and have a decision in the near future.

“Hopefully after this (Arkansas visit) I’ll think about it for a week or two and let it settle in and then make my final decision,” he said.
