Hogs hosting two prospects on Friday

Offensive lineman Frank Ragnow had an excellent visit to Arkansas.

Arkansas will host two highly touted prospects for unofficial visits on Friday.

Offensive lineman Frank Ragnow, 6-6, 291, 5.0 seconds in the 40 yard dash of Victoria Chanhassen High School in Minnesota and defensive end Gerri Green of of Greenville, (Ms.) Weston.

Ragnow, who has a 345 pound bench press and 475 squat, has offers from Arkansas, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Florida State, Nebraska and others. He's being recruited by offensive line coach Sam Pittman and offensive line graduate assistant Eric Mateos. June interview click here

Green, 6-4, 225, 4.56 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Greenville, (Ms.) Weston has several SEC offers, including Tennessee, Ole Miss, Miss. St. and Auburn. He's being recruited by defensive line coach Charlie

Partridge and defensive quality control coach Brian Early. He doesn't have an offer from the Hogs but is a strong candidate to receive one on his visit.

In other recruiting news, DL Armon Watts, 6-5, 270, 5.1 of St. Louis Christian Brothers College High said said he wants to set up an official visit to Arkansas very soon. He received an offer from the Razorbacks after attending the Elite Prospect camp.

He now has about 14 offers, including Arkansas, Missouri, Wisconsin, Indiana and Cincinnati. He said he talked to teammate and offensive lineman Brian Wallace Jr. about what he saw while at Arkansas. Wallace has the Hogs in his top five.

Watts is also good friends with Arkansas CB prospect Raymond Wingo. He said he and Wingo communicated with each other on Tuesday. He said he's being recruited by graduate assistant Eric Mateos. Video highlights click here

Defensive end Chad Thomas, 6-5, 240 of Miami Washington recently committed to Miami. He said at The Opening there was good chance he would visit Arkansas because of linebacker coach Randy Shannon. After his commitment, he said he still plans to talk to Shannon but sounded pretty firm to the Hurricanes.
