Tuesday recruiting tidbits

Offensive lineman Frank Ragnow had an excellent visit to Arkansas.

Offensive lineman Frank Ragnow received a scholarship offer from Arkansas after calling offensive line coach Sam Pittman this morning. He also talked to Coach Bret Bielema.

Ragnow, 6-6, 291, 5.0 seconds in the 40 yard dash of Victoria, Minnesota Chanhassen said he received a private message from offensive line graduate assistant Eric Mateos on Facebook and was told to call Pittman. He has a lot of respect for Bielema's winning ways while at Wisconsin and Pittman's history of putting offensive linemen into the NFL.

Ragnow, who said he'll probably visit Arkansas this summer, said he and Mateos have been in steady contact on Facebook. He now has 13 offers.

Razorback defensive commitment Bijhon Jackson of El Dorado said he plans to participate in Arkansas camp on Monday.

Pine Bluff tight end Will Gragg said he will announce his college decision on Aug. 1, 2014. He has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss and Alabama.

Cornerback Chris Lammons of Plantation, Fla. said on Twitter that Arkansas was one of his 15 finalists. Other schools include Florida, Miami, Ohio St., Alabama and LSU. He will participate in The Opening at Nike Headquarters June 30-July 3.

Cornerback Shawn Boone, 5-10, 180 pounds of West Palm Beach, (Fla.) Dwyer who has more than 20 offers from schools like Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida State and others is trying to visit the Hogs in mid-July.

Defensive lineman Abu Lamin, 6-4, 300, 4.95 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Fort Scott Community College in Kansas has set up an official visit to Florida for June 14-16. His mother will not accompany him. He visited Arkansas on Monday and is trying to set up an official visit to Fayetteville very soon.
