Monday's camp updates

Camden Fairview cornerback Keyondre Jones tuned in the fastest 40 time at the Arkansas Football Combine.

As reported earlier via Twitter, DL Breeland Speaks, 6-3, 270 of Jackson, (Miss.) Callaway received an offer from Arkansas after leaving campus. He showed excellent quickness off the ball and was almost impossible to block during 1-on-1 drills.

Some of the standouts on the lines this morning were 2016 DL Austin Capps of Star City, Luc Bequette of Champaign Illinois, 2015 DE Daniel Sprinkle of White Hall, OL Curtis Parker of NLR, 2015 DL Taylor Mason of Junction City, 2015 OL Zach Rogers of Carrollton Hebron and 2015 DE-TE Jamario Bell of Junction City.

Capps continues to impress with his athleticism for a 6-4, 298 guy. He uses his strength and hands and is extremely hard to block. Wouldn't be a surprise to see him get an offer. If not now he surely will at some point. He's expected to visit 1-on-1 with Bielema today.

Bequette, 6-2, 250 is working in his first college camp and keeps getting better. He has a good motor and is relentless with his effort. Coach Bret Bielema was seen giving him some pointers. He's former Hog OL Chris Bequette's son.

Rogers and Parker were to the two best O-linemen this morning, Both were consistently good at holding thier blocks and driving people off the line. Mason showed well during the few reps I was able to see. Sprinkle is still learning but you can see him getting better with each rep.

Bell's raw athleticism is so easy to see when watching him running and getting off the ball. His upside is tremendous considering he plays basketball and doesn't really see much of the weight room.

Hog commitment and RB Juan Day looked very good running behind the O-line and knowing when to make his cuts. Showed a very good burst when hitting the line.

Many of the top prospects ran through some testing late this morning.

Camden Fairview cornerback Keyondre Jones, who turned a handheld time of 4.21 seconds in the 40 yard dash at the Arkansas Football Combine in May recorded a 4.28

Jones, 6-1, 170 pounds surprised the Arkansas coaches who looked like they were in disbelieve.

3:06 update

Lonoke WR Blake Mack ran a 4.59 at least by one timer from what I understand. He's a really good looking athlete. Very good size at 6-3, 200 range.

2015 OL Keaton Sutherland of Flower Mound, Texas ran a 5.13 40 time and is a really good looking athlete in the 6-5, 260 range. He has two brothers attending the UA. A name to watch for in the future.

2015 QB Zach Gentry, 6-6, 210 of Albuquerque, New Mexico is one of the top QBs at threw camp. It appears OC Jim Chaney is high on him.

TE Josiah Wymer of Springdale ran a 4.9 40 time and a a 4.72 shuttle.

6:35 update

It's often said by prospects they look for a school to they would like to attend if football was taken away 2015 OL Zach Rogers of Carrollton Hebron said if he could see himself going to Arkansas as a regular student. He said the Hogs are way up there on his list.

He's given thoughts of ending the process and being a Hog but he's not ready to make a decision because if he does he's done. Plans to visit the Hogs again in July and may make a camp at Texas A&M.

2015 Will Gragg of Pine Bluff said he got better at blocking and receiving after working with Hog TE coach Barry Lunney Jr. He and his dad met with Coach Bret Bielema and said the the meeting went well and his father asked several questions. Plans to visit Auburn in July. He's now likely to make his decision on signing day instead of August 1 of 2014.

OL Isaac Johnson and DE Jake Hall of Springdale Har-Ber both had a some very good moments and were solid in the afternoon session.

Arkansas commitment and DL Bijhon Jackson stood out in the afternoon session and constantly created havoc for the O-line. He was in the backfield a lot. Very fun to watch.

DE Trey Carter, 6-4, 250, 4.8 of Dallas Pinkston was very solid in today's camp and was one of the better performers of the day. He passes the eye test and backs it up with his play.

2015 DE-TE Jamerio Bell of Junction City said he thought about committing about five or six times today but will wait and rely on God on when to make his decision.

He said he could wake up tomorrow and commit or it could be a month or two. He and his mother were very impressed with their meeting with Bielema. He seem excited about the type person Bielema was and his focus on the athletes getting a degree.

2015 QB Ty Storey of Charleston worked out today at the camp and is planning to visit Arkansas later this week and will discuss a possible offer with OC Jim Chaney.
