Wednesday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas filled the mailbox of cornerback prospect Raymond Wingo over the weekend.

Arkansas will host two highly regarded sophomore prospects, running back Robert Washington and receiver Conner O'Donnell on Thursday. Both attend Southlake Christian Academy in Huntersville, N.C. and are committed to Mississippi State.

Washington, 5-10, 200 also has offers from Ole Miss, Arizona State, North Carolina, Akron, Syracuse, and UCLA. He rushed 89 times for 1,017 yards and 11 touchdowns last year. O'Donnell, 5-11, 150, 4.61 also has offers from Akron and UCLA. He had 38 receptions for 919 yards for 5 touchdowns.

Southlake Christian Coach Bub O'Donnell spoke highly of graduate assistant Terrance Butler's recruiting efforts.

Washington and O'Donnell are good friends with sophomore offensive lineman Eli Johnson, who recently visited Arkansas. They played for the USA Under-15 National Football team last summer.

Johnson talked highly of his trip to Arkansas and that helped convince Washington and O'Donnell to make the visit to Fayetteville. The three want to play together in college.

Ole Miss receiver commitment Dayall Harris, who attended Arkansas' camp on Monday, said he enjoyed his visit and is considering taking an official visit to Fayetteville.

He said he loved working with receivers coach Michael Smith. He said Coach Bret Bielema is real down-to-earth type of guy.

Shooting guard Nick Babb, 6-4 of Arlington,Texas Martin and his father visited Arkansas on Tuesday.

Arkansas cornerback prospect Raymond Wingo, 6-1, 174, 4,31 of St. Louis University High School received 26 handwritten letters from Arkansas over the weekend.

Junior quarterback Ty Storey of Charleston said he will visit Arkansas at 3:30 on Friday afternoon. He attended the Hogs' camp on Monday and there's a good chance he'll find out whether or not he'll receive a scholarship offer from the Razorbacks during the visit.

Forward Keaton Miles, who's transferring from West Virginia, said he'll arrive in Fayetteville Friday evening to begin his official visit to Arkansas. He visited Utah June 7 and will make a trip to Colorado State June 21. He will be accompanied by his parents, brother and sister. His father will celebrate his birthday on Sunday.

Miles started 30 of 32 games as a freshman and was asked to play a defensive role. He said he was lead to believe he would be able to showcase more of his offensive talents as sophomore but only started two of 29 games.
