Pine Bluff tight end Will Gragg was the first 2015 in-state prospect to receive a scholarship offer from Arkansas last summer after being clearly one of the better athletes at the Hogs' three day camp.
He and his father, Kelvin returned to Fayetteville for the Razorbacks' three day camp from Sunday to Tuesday.
Gragg, 6-4, 238, 4.8 seconds in the 40 yard dash, made a tour of the school on Sunday and took part in Monday's prospect camp. After camping at Ole Miss and Alabama recently, he added offers from the two schools. On Thursday, he said the Rebels held a slight edge over the Hogs and Crimson Tide.
Meeting and getting to know the head coaches at each school is vital for Gragg, who along with his father met with Coach Bret Bielema in his office.
"That's real important because you're really talking to the head man in charge," Gragg said. "That's real important. Before I had talked to the two coaches at Ole Miss and at Alabama. So we're just building a relationship with each other and seeing how close we can be over the course of the next two years."
Gragg had announced he would make his college decision on Aug. 1 of 2014 but has pushed it back to signing day in 2015. He said Bielema didn't push him for a commitment.
"He said there's no time frame," Gragg said. "It's whenever I feel comfortable. I told him I set my date for August one of next year . I'm probably going to push that back he said it I wanted to he wouldn't be opposed to it."
The visit appeared have helped Arkansas with Gragg.
"It made me feel comfortable and made me feel at home which I am at home at Arkansas," Gragg said. "He told me whatever I did to do or whatever they need to do or whatever I did to make this deal happen they're willing to do it. "
His summer visits are about finished.
"Probably going to Auburn on July 20, will probably be done for the summer," Gragg said.
