Sunday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas linebackers coach Randy Shannon has highly sought receiver Ryeshene Bronson planning an official visit to Fayetteville.

Running back Dalvin Cook, who's committed to Florida, said he has high interest in Arkansas because of linebackers coach Randy Shannon. He called Shannon one of the best recruiters out there and a great guy.

He said he's trying to get up to Fayetteville this summer and will probably for sure get up for an official. Cook, 5-11, 195, 4.38 of Miami Central said he grew up knowing Arkansas incoming freshman Denver Kirkland and was shocked that Denver signed with Arkansas. He said he knew running back Alex Collins would ink with the Hogs.

Offensive lineman David Hedelin, 6-5, 285 of City College of San Francisco said he plans to make an official visit to Fayetteville on Oct. 12 for the South Carolina game. He talks to running backs coach Joel Thomas and offensive line coach Sam Pittman.

Receiver Kendrick Edwards, 6-6, 200, 4.6 of Miami Norland said one of his coaches may bring him up for a visit this summer. He has about 20 offers.

Edwards also mentioned linebackers coach Randy Shannon as a main reason for wanting to visit.

Fort Smith Northside has two of the better junior prospects in the state in defensive end Daytrieon Dean, 6-3, 240 range and running back Justin Curry, 5-11, 190, 4.55. Both attended Arkansas' camp.

Curry, who moved in from Georgia in May, has two brothers playing at Oklahoma State.

Northside Coach Mike Falluer said Dean has an offer from Ole Miss while Curry has offers from UConn, Purdue and Arkansas State.

Curry rushed for 1,300 yards as a sophomore for Flowery Mound High School.

Cornerback Kewishi Brown of Grossmont C.C. in California said he plans to make an official visit to Arkansas on July 19.

Safety Payton Hendrix of Dallas Bishop Dunne said he plans to visit Arkansas June 24. He received an offer from Arkansas several weeks ago. He and offensive lineman Jovan Pruitt, who visited the Hogs last weekend, are teammates.

Forward Keaton Miles, who visited the Hogs this weekend, said he picked up more than 150 followers on Twitter today.
