Running back Kevin Shorter of Newton, Texas has narrowed his list to schools to Arkansas and Texas A&M, according to his cousin, Hog incoming freshman cornerback D.J. Dean.
Shorter, 5-11, 185, 4.38 seconds in the 40 yard dash, is a prime recruiting target of the Hogs and is considered a good bet to play as a true freshman should he choose the Razorbacks.
He and Dean visited Fayetteville during Arkansas' three day camp and will make a return trip June 29th, the date Dean reports to start work outs and attend the second semester of summer school.
Shorter and Dean helped Newton to the 4x100 meter replay state title with a 41.70 time. Dean won the Class 2A 400 meter title with a 48.85 time.
