Tuesday recruiting tidbits

Highly touted junior college offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor was a key Arkansas target.

Baylor commitment and athlete Davion Hall, 6-3, 192 of Texarkana, Texas Liberty-Eylau said he will visit Arkansas this weekend. He plans to arrive in Fayetteville and will visit Friday and Saturday. He's good friends of Jarrion Lawson, who attended Liberty-Eylau and now is a member of the Arkansas track team. He said Lawson has told him good things about Arkansas.. He said he also plans to visit LSU and a couple more schools. He's being recruited by tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr.

Hall, who wants to play receiver in college, has about 10 offers, including Arkansas, LSU, Baylor, Missouri and Nebraska.

Offensive lineman Steven Moss, 6-5, 290, 5.0 of Fredericksburg, (Va.) Chancellor reports 21 offers, including Arkansas. He said he talks to offensive line coach Sam Pittman on a regular basis on Facebook and talks to him on the phone once to twice a week. He said he thinks highly of Pittman, who keeps him laughing. He wants to visit his four SEC offers, Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee and Auburn.

Defensive end Peyton Newell, 6-2, 270, 4.79 of Hiawatha, Kansas has 29 offers, including Arkansas, who offered him on March 1. He said he's really interested in the Hogs. One of his best friends is from Arkansas and now lives in Kansas. She has told him positive things the game atmosphere at Arkansas and how the football players are treated. He squatted 700 pounds last summer and benches 385.

Newell's grandfather, Billy Howard wrestled in the WWE when Andre The Giant also wrestled.

He's being recruited by defensive line coach Charlie Partridge. He said he's going to try and make a visit.

As tweeted earlier. offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor, 6-5 1/2, 315 pounds of Scranton (Pa.) Lackawanna Community College said he will definitely take an official visit to Arkansas. He talked to Coach Bret Bielema tonight and said the talk was great.

Arkansas offered quarterback Brandon Harris, 6-3 1/2, 185, 4.55 of Bossier City, (La.) Parkway today. He said he talked to offensive coordinator Jim Chaney and receivers coach Michael Smith. He said the coaches want him to come up for the spring game.

Safety Mike Edwards, 6-0, 187, 4.5 of Cincinnati Winton Woods has 13 offers, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Louisville and others. He said he talked to cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson Monday night and was told the coaches like his film and they want to get him down for a visit.
