Arkansas hosts Bell

Warren offensive lineman Jhamahl Bell.

Saturday's visit to Arkansas was an educational experience for Warren offensive lineman Jhamahl Bell, who's one of the top prospects in the state.

Bell, 6-3 1/2, 295 pounds was excited to learn several ways to improve from strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert.

"He taught me a little bit on how to take care of my body as far as weight lifting and recovering and eating the right stuff," Bell said. "When to eat and how to eat. You need to eat frequently but eat the right stuff as far as your carbohydrates , your protein and your veggies and stuff like that."

Offensive line coach Sam Pittman showed Bell and the other offensive linemen film of Tennessee's offensive line play.

"Coach Pittman is a real cool coach," Bell said. "He's funny. He was talking about what he's looking for in a recruit. He showed us some plays from 2012. I thought that was real tight. Some of the guys I saw on TV I was able to see actual coach's footage so that was real cool."

The world famous Hog call was on display at Arkansas' 73-62 victory over Texas A&M.

"That was my first time being there live and doing it," said Bell, who was invited to participate in one of Arkansas' camps this summer. "It was cool, very cool. The second time I got it down pretty well. "

Coach Bret Bielema invited Bell and others to ask questions and Bell took him up on it.

"I asked him about one of his former offensive linemen Kevin Zeitler who plays for the Cincinnati Bengals," Bell said. "I asked if I kind of looked like him? Did I have a similar build like him? He was a little more solid than me but we have the same long arms. I'm probably a little bit taller than him."
