El Dorado defensive lineman Bijhon Jackson made his second visit to Arkansas on Thursday since his commitment in December and his pledge grows stronger.
"My commitment becomes more solid every time I come to Fayetteville," Jackson said. "I love it up here. I love the atmosphere, the new coaching staff is great. The players love it.
Jackson, 6-2, 325, 5.1 seconds in the 40 yard dash, chose the Hogs over Ole Miss and Arkansas State when he gave Coach Bret Bielema his commitment. Being able to see Arkansas practice in pads for the first this spring was a highlight.
"It was fun for me to watch from the sideline," said Jackson, who's rated the No. 95 prospect in the nation by national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network. "It was an up-tempo practice. They played hard and the coaches coached hard. I think the players had fun."
Jackson eared a spot on the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All Arkansas team by making 67 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble and 6 sacks this past season. He said the Arkansas players went hard at it.
"They played hard," Jackson said. "They played real hard for the first day of being in pads."
He and Springdale Har-Ber defensive lineman Josh Frazier have become good friends while going through the recruiting process. Frazier also attended practice and later the two were given a tour of the campus.
"I was able to see some parts of the campus I haven't seen," Jackson said. "I got to chill with Josh for a little while. It's fun hanging with Josh. I'm trying to get him to go to Arkansas. We have a good thing going right now and I think I could get him to go. He liked it. He liked the new facilities they're building."
