Tuesday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas will host one of Missouri's top 2015 football prospects on Thursday. Tight end-defensive end Hale Hentges, 6-4, 220, 4.83 of Jefferson City, (Mo.) Helias has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Wisconsin, Iowa, Wisconsin and Iowa State. Coach Bret Bielema offered him as a freshman.

His father, Chris is the head coach at Helias. He and Hale visited the Hogs last spring and were very impressed. Sophomore highlights click here

Forward-guard Jessica Jackson, 6-2 of Jacksonville said she will sign with Arkansas next month during the spring signing period. She committed to the Hogs last August but decided not to sign in the fall signing period.

Arkansas running back signee Alex Collins ran the third leg of South Plantation's 41.51 winning time in the 4 x 100 at the Broward County Athletic Association Track and Field Championships on March 23. The Paladins are in lane three below.

Running back Kevin Shorter, who has Arkansas as one of his top schools, helped Newton, Texas run a 41.38 in the 400 meter relay recently. He said the time leads the state.

Receiver Mandell Sams of Opelousas, La. said he's been in contact with Arkansas receivers coach Michael Smith and has been invited to attend the Hogs' June camp.
