Thursday recruiting tidbits

Tight end-defensive end Hale Hentges spoke highly of Arkansas following his visit at the Razorbacks' game against Southern Miss.

Sophomore tight end-defensive end Hale Hentges and his father wrapped up about a five hour visit to Arkansas at 5:30 today.

Hentges, 6-4, 220, 4.83 of Jefferson City, (Mo.) Helias has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri and Iowa State. He and his father, Chris, who's the head coach at Helias spoke highly of all the people in the football program, including Coach Bret Bielema and his coaching staff along with the academic support and weight and conditioning coach Ben Herbert.

After watching the Hogs' practice, Hentges said he was encouraged by how the Razorbacks use the tight end.

Hentges said he plans to come back in the fall for a a game. While nowhere close to a decision, he said the visit helped Arkansas in their pursuit of him. Video highlights click here

Arkansas commitment and forward-guard Jessica Jackson of Jacksonville has been selected to play in the will play in the 22nd annual WBCA High School All-America Game on April 6 at the New Orleans Arena, site of the 2013 NCAA Women's Final Four. She plans to sign with the Hogs during the spring signing period.

Defensive linemen Bijhon Jackson of El Dorado and Josh Frazier of Springdale Har-Ber have been invited to play in the 2014 U.S. Army All American game.

Running back Sione Palelei of Gonzales, (La.) East Ascension said he received an offer from Arkansas today.
