Defensive lineman Poona Ford is high on Arkansas.

Highly recruited defensive lineman Poona Ford has about 20 scholarship offers but has Arkansas as one of his top schools, according his coach B.J. Payne.

Ford, 6-1, 290, 4.83 of Hilton Head, South Carolina was planning to visit Arkansas on Saturday but after attending a recent combine in less than ideal conditions he's been ill. He's hoping to visit in the next couple of weeks or sometime before the summer. Video highlights click here

Payne said Ford has been timed in the high 4.2's in the pro-shuttle and has jumped 34 inches in the vertical. He also added Ford has a 80-inch wingspan.

He said he's coached 20 to 25 D-1 athletes and four who have gone on to the NFL but said Ford is by far the best he's ever coached.

Payne said Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee and Ole Miss are the four schools Ford talks about the most.

Hog cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson is Ford's lead recruiter. Payne has known Johnson since his coaching days in Ohio and calls him an incredible, incredible person.

Arizona, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Louisville and Georgia Tech have all recently offered Arkansas quarterback commitment Rafe Peavey. He's excited Hog offensive coordinator Jim Chaney is expected to visit during the spring to watch him throw.

Point guard Tereke Eckwood is rated the No. 4 prospect in the 2015 in Arkansas by future150.com.

SG Kevaughn Allen of North Little Rock, CG K.J. Hill of North Little Rock and SG Jaylen Franklin of LR Parkview are rated one, two and three..

Virginia commitment and offensive lineman Steven Moss, 6-5, 290, 5.0 of Fredericksburg, (Va.) Chancellor said he still plans to visit Arkansas. He has more than 20 offers and is being recruited by offensive line coach Sam Pittman.

2015 Charleston quarterback Ty Story visited Arkansas' practice on Thursday.

2015 linebacker Justin Hilliard, 6-2, 220, 4.6 of Cincinnati St. Xavier plans to attend Arkansas' practice on Tuesday. He has offers from Iowa and Indiana. He's being recruited by Taver Johnson.

He thinks an offer from Arkansas could come while on the trip. He hopes to return for the Hogs' spring game.
