Glass receiving love from Hogs

Safety Nick Glass is expected to visit Arkansas in the near future.

Highly recruited safety Nick Glass revealed in Friday's Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that he received 38 handwritten letters from Arkansas during the April 20-21 weekend.

In addition to letters, his lead recruiter, cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson and defensive coordinator Chris Ash are in constant contact.

"He and coach Ash, I probably talk to them once every two days," said Glass, who's committed to Georgia but plans to visit the Hogs. "I talk to them on Twitter and on Facebook every day."

Glass, 6-1, 203, 4.45 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge has more than 40 scholarship offers, including Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Ohio State. He said the Hogs believe he could make an immediate impact.

"It just depends on how fast I adjust to the game and learn the play book," said Glass, who reports receiving about 20 handwritten letters every two to three days from the Razorbacks. "They said there's no doubt I have the ability to come in and play right away and get a great education while doing it. "

Arkansas is one of the schools recruiting him the hardest.

"It's probably between them, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida State and Kentucky." Glass said.

Glass said he's looking to visit Fayetteville looking within the next two months.

"Everything is up in the air," he said. "I'm looking to get out soon but I have no date set in stone."
