Eluemunor gets visit from Pittman

Highly touted junior college offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor was a key Arkansas target.

Highly recruited junior college offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor was given some tips after calling Arkansas offensive line coach Sam Pittman late Monday night.

Pittman visited his school earlier in the day and attend a spring practice to watch the athletic Eluemunor.

"He was telling me he knows I can be great," Eluemunor said. "He asked me if I was going to work hard. I'm going to work harder than ever because he told. I was going to be great if I come to Arkansas. I want to make sure because I'm great because he's one of the best O-line coaches in the country, if not the best. He and Coach (Bret) Bielema would be a perfect combination."

Eluemunor, 6-5 1/2, 315 pounds of Scranton (Pa.) Lackawanna Community College has accumulated 24 scholarship offers including Arkansas, Alabama, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Penn State. Pittman told him his quick feet were that of a fullback.

"With the right coaching," Eluemunor said. "I can be one of the best, if not the best."

He said he and Bielema talk about every three to four days and Pittman about every day.

"I'm really comfortable with coach Bielema and coach Pittman," Eluemunor said. "I really like them a a lot. Me and coach Pittman joke around on the phone and have a fun time We get along really well and I can see that he's a really good coach I just like him and coach Bielema a lot."

Eluemunor's goal is to play in the NFL and help his family that moved to United States from London, England in 2008. Pittman, who recruited and coached North Carolina offensive guard Jonathan Cooper, the No. 7 overall pick in the recent NFL Draft, told Eluemunor he was similar to Cooper.

Eluemunor, who has an official visit set to Arkansas for July 19-21, enjoys the words of encouragement he receivers from Razorback fans via Twitter.

"I've never been through the recruiting process before," said Eluemunor, who will officially visit Alabama before his trip to Fayetteville. "And to just have the fan base back me up and say wherever I commit to they're still going to support me."
