DE Solomon Thomas narrows list, Arkansas makes cut

Highly recruited defensive end Solomon Thomas plans to visit Arkansas on Saturday.

Defensive end Solomon Thomas, 6-3, 256 pounds, 4.7 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Coppell, Texas has narrowed his list of about 40 scholarship offers to 13 schools and the Hogs were one of them. His coach Joe McBride announced the list on Twitter this morning.

Texas, TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ohio State, UCLA, Stanford, Notre Dame, Alabama, Texas A&M and Oregon were the other twelve schools.

Thomas is rated the No. 24 prospect in the nation by CBS Sports Network national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming and is a major target of the Razorbacks. He has visited the Hogs twice this spring, including for the Red-White spring game.

He told this reporter last week that he planned to visit Fayetteville soon to see his sister, Ella, a U of A student and the Arkansas coaching staff.
