Monday recruiting tidbits

Defensive back Cornelius Floyd is planning to make an official visit to Arkansas.

Defensive back Cornelius Floyd, 6-1, 170, 4.49 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Miami Gulliver Prep will officially visit Arkansas Jan. 17. He said his father and cousin will accompany him. At this time, the Fayetteville trip is the only visit his father and cousin will make.

He reports having 16 scholarship offers, including Arkansas, Virginia, Oklahoma, Wake Forrest, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. He has called linebackers coach Randy Shannon a “father figure”.

Floyd will also visit Virginia on Dec. 6 and has plans to visit Oklahoma but has yet to set a date.

Arkansas receiver commitment Jared Cornelius, 6-1, 190, 4.48 Shreveport (La.) Evangel said he and his teammate and Hog defensive back commitment Santos Ramirez will officially visit Arkansas Dec. 6. He plans to sign the financial aid agreement on Dec. 15.

Notre Dame appears to be on the verge of offering him and that could happen this week. He said would like to visit the Irish but added that South Bend is too far away for him to seriously consider them. Missouri is trying to get him to change his mind but is having no luck.

Cornelius said he spoke with Coach Bret Bielema, receivers coach Michael Smith and recruiting coordinator Chris Hauser today.

As was reported Saturday night, North Little Rock junior receiver K.J. Hill received a scholarship offer from Oklahoma State while attending the Cowboy's game. He had 3 receptions for 31 yards and a TDS on Friday.

Bryant Coach Paul Calley is high on sophomore defensive lineman Cameron Murray, 6-3, 285 pounds and believes he has D-1 level talent. Video highlights CLICK HERE
