Bryant's Davis a promising prospect
Junior offensive lineman Cameron Davis of Bryant showed why Hornet Coach Paul Calley thinks highly of him in Friday's game against Pine Bluff. He possess nibble feet and impressive athleticism.
Davis, 6-4, 260 pounds started his first varsity game in the season opener against Conway. He’s the son of former Hog offensive lineman Isaac Davis, who played seven seasons in the NFL.
“His arms are so long,” said Calley in an earlier interview. “He’s really not strong as far as of the weight room but he is explosive. I can’t wait to see him when he’s 21 years old. I think he’s going to be a special one.”
Davis, who wears size 18 shoes, is expected to continue to grow.
“To me, he’s still a baby,” Calley said. “He’s nowhere near what he’s going to be. He has huge hands.”
