Friday recruiting tidbits
Combination guard Jalen Hudson, 6-5, 190 pounds of Akron (Ohio) St. Vincent-St.Mary will call the coaches at Arkansas and Virginia Tech at 4 o'clock central time and inform them of his decision. He'll then announce his school choice on Twitter.
Hudson, who has about 25 offers, made an official visit to Arkansas on Aug. 30-Sept. 1 and to Virginia Tech on Sept. 20-22.
Defensive back Josh Keys of Miss. Gulf Coast C.C., tight end DeAndre Goolsby of Derby, Kansas and offensive lineman Jovan Pruitt of Dallas Bishop Dunne are expected to make official visits to Arkansas for the South Carolina game on Oct. 12. Defensive lineman Zaycoven Henderson of Longview, Texas has also indicated he'll probably make an official visit for the Gamecock game.
Highly regarded junior defensive end Hjalte Frohodt, 6-5, 275 pounds of Denmark is set to visit for the Oct. 12 when the Hogs play South Carolina. Junior college defensive lineman Abu Lamin of Fort Scott C.C. is also expected to make an unofficial visit for the game.
Junior running back Rawleigh Williams of Dallas Bishop Lynch said he plans to attend a Hog game this season. He planned to visit for the Texas A&M game but was unable to make it. He's an Ole Miss commitment.
National recruiting analysts Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network rates Arkansas quarterback commitment Rafe Peavey the No. 8 quarterback prospect in the nation.
