Froholdt and Goolsby updates
Danish defensive end Hjalte Froholdt and his parents will be leaving Fayetteville around 5 o'clock this afternoon.
What is known is his father, Hans and mother, Lisa were very impressed with the coaches and had a chance to speak with defensive line coach Charlie Partridge and Coach Bret Bielema before the game.
His father accompanied Hjalte on his May trip to Arkansas but his mother was making her first visit. The academics and support system in place impressed her. They were able to meet and talk with two Arkansas golfers from Denmark. More on Froholdt after today's visit.
Highly recruited tight end DeAndre Goolsby of Derby, Kansas is expected to leave about 3 today. His mother and sister made the trip with him.
Froholdt said today consisted of a tours of the facilities and the campus along meetings with players, defensive line coach Charlie Partridge and Coach Bret Bielema.
He and his parents had a long meeting with Partridge and learned about his philosophy and how he would use Froholdt. During the Sunday's meeting with Bielema, Froholdt told him Saturday's game would have no impact on his interest in Arkansas. His mother and father said Bielema was very down-to-earth. Both would feel comfortable with Hjalte attending Arkansas if he chose the Hogs.
They were able to meet and ask questions during a meeting with some players, including Sam Irwin-Hill. The players spoke very well of their experience as a student-athlete at Arkansas.
They will visit Alabama and Florida State before going to Michigan where they'll attend Saturday's home game. He also plans to attend a game at Warren Harding High School in Ohio. He played at Harding as an exchange student as a sophomore.
