Sunday recruiting tidbits

North Little Rock’s K.J. Hill continues to prove why he's among the best in the 2015 class.

North Little Rock receiver K.J. Hill said Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema was talking to him before the Samford game and mentioned how the Hogs need him and that's why he was going to offer him a scholarship. Hill said he couldn't say anything because he was in shock. The offer was a dream come true, he said.

Hill, 6-0, 178, 4.5 said he's not favoring Arkansas or Auburn, who has also offered. He's going to take his time on any decision. No time frame.

Receiver Johnnie Dixon, 5-11, 195, 4.37 of West Palm Beach, (Fla.) Dwyer said Hog defensive line coach Charlie Partridge hits him up on Facebook and Twitter on a consistent basis unlike most schools. He and three other teammates, including defensive back Shawn Boone will arrive on Friday for their official visits to Arkansas.

He's visiting North Carolina State this weekend and will also visit Ohio State and Alabama. He's unsure who will get his fifth visit. He said Partridge told him he could get immediate playing time should he be a Hog.

Junior offensive lineman Pat Allen, 6-5, 275, 5.0 of Reisterstown, (Maryland) Franklin said he has strong interest in Arkansas and wants to visit. He has eight offers, Florida State, Rutgers, Tennessee and others. Hogs haven't offered at this point.

Allen's father is from Arkansas and still has family in the state. He's from Missouri and moved to Maryland in 2010. He wants to play in the SEC. Graduate assistant Eric Mateos is recruiting him.

Junior offensive lineman Austin Clark, 6-6, 280, 5.1 of Lexington, (Virginia) Rockbridge said Arkansas is one of the schools he's always wanted to look into. He said he knows defensive lineman Chance Hall, who attended Arkansas' Elite Camp in July.

Hall spoke well of Arkansas and the coaching staff along with the facilities. He reports seven offers Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia and others.
