Arkansas finalizes basketball schedule

FAYETTEVILLE A trip to the Maui Invitational and home games against Clemson and SMU highlight Arkansas' 2013-14 nonconference basketball schedule.
The Razorbacks are scheduled to play 13 times out of conference in the coming season, beginning Nov. 8 with a game against SIU-Edwardsville at Bud Walton Arena. Arkansas will also play Louisiana-Lafayette and former Southwest Conference foe SMU before traveling to Maui from Nov. 25-27.
Arkansas will play California in the opener of the three-day invitational, followed by a game against either Syracuse or Minnesota. The Razorbacks' last game in Hawaii will be against either Gonzaga, Baylor, Dayton or Chaminade.
On Dec. 7, Arkansas will host Clemson - the first ACC school to visit Fayetteville in more than a decade. The Razorbacks will travel to North Little Rock on Dec. 21 for a game against South Alabama at Verizon Arena.
Other nonconference opponents include Southeastern Louisiana, Savannah State, Tennessee-Martin, High Point and Texas-San Antonio.
The Clemson and SMU games are part of home-and-home agreements with each school. Arkansas is scheduled to return both trips in 2014-15.
