Highly regarded receiver Ryeshene Bronson is committed to South Florida but is planning to take other official visits, including one to Arkansas.
“I’ve had interest in them since my sophomore year,” Bronson said. “They had some receivers leave and go to the league.”
Bronson, 6-4, 190, 4.45 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Fort Meyers, (Fla.) Dunbar had a total of 25 scholarship offers before he announced his pledge to the Bulls. He was able to watch Arkansas’ opening game game against Louisiana-Lafayette.
“I watched them and both of the running backs had over 100 yards,” Bronson said. “I saw they have a lot of talent but they need help at the receiver spot.”
Linebackers coach Randy Shannon has built a solid relationship with Bronson and has informed him about the quality of life in Fayetteville while also being a mentor.
“He gives me good advice all the time about life situations,” Bronson said.
Bronson, who plans to talk to Shannon about a date for his visit, is rated a 4-star prospect by national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming of CBS College Sports.
“Ryeshene brings height, hands, speed, body control and production to the recruiting table,” Lemming said. “He shows good instincts, runs precise routes and knows how to get open. He catches the ball at the highest point and can create after the catch.”
He looks forward to getting to Arkansas and seeing what the Hogs have to offer.
“I just want to take a visit and see what it’s like,” he said. “Visit and see if I can see myself playing there and see myself winning a championship there.”
Often, a recruit looks at the depth chart and measures his opportunity for early playing time. Bronson believes he’ll see playing time regardless where he goes.
‘With me, that’s anywhere,” Bronson said. “I’m not trying to sound cocky or nothing but I can see myself playing anywhere my freshman year.”
