FAYETTEVILLE Arkansas' game against No. 2 South Carolina Thursday night has been postponed because of forecast severe weather and the Razorbacks will play a doubleheader Friday at Baum Stadium.
The first game is set to start at 3:05 p.m., Friday with the second game starting 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Both games will be nine innings.
SEC rules prohibit postponed games in a Thursday-Saturday series from being played on Sunday and a doubleheader on Saturday would have to be a pair of seven-inning games.
Single game tickets to Thursday's game can be exchanged for tickets to another game this season, but season and suite tickets may not. Tickets to Friday's game will admit fans to both games of the doubleheader.
Sophomore right-hander Trey Killian (1-4, 2.78 ERA) and junior left-hander Jalen Beeks (4-2, 1.27 ERA) are slated to start on the mound for the Razorbacks Friday.
It will be Arkansas' fifth doubleheader this season. The Razorbacks were swept by South Alabama and Cal in the first two, while they swept Mississippi Valley State and split a doubleheader last Saturday against Mississippi State.
Saturday's game against South Carolina is still scheduled to start at 6:05 p.m.
