Hannahs transferring to Arkansas

Former Texas Tech guard Dusty Hannahs has decided to transfer to Arkansas.

Hannahs, 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, played at Pulaski Academy before signing with Texas Tech where he played for three head coaches in two years. He started 17 of 31 games as a freshman and averaged 8.4 points, while shooting 36.9 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

He started 9 of 32 games as a sophomore and averaged 7.7 points, 1.4 rebounds while dishing out 40 assists. He said he spoke with associate head coach Melvin Watkins today was extended a scholarship offer.

Hannahs will have to sit out next season in accordance with NCAA transfer rules. He will have two years of eligibility remaining after his redshirt season.

The Little Rock native is the son of Gerald Hannahs, who was a four-year letterman for the Razorbacks baseball team in the 1970s.
