— Arkansas made a pair of hires this week to its football recruiting staff.

The Razorbacks hired E.K. Franks as director of recruiting Wednesday and Daniel Bush as assistant director or recruiting Thursday. Franks spent the last two seasons as running backs coach at Southeastern Louisiana, while Bush has worked in player personnel at Alabama since 2011.

Franks, who worked with Bret Bielema at Kansas State and Wisconsin, replaces Chris Hauser, who was let go at Arkansas shortly following National Signing Day in February. The Razorbacks' most recent signing class ranked a consensus 11th among teams in the SEC.

According to his bio, Bush spent last summer in a volunteer research position with the San Francisco 49ers.
