Wednesday recruiting tidbits

Highly recruited cornerback Jaylon Lane received his 26th scholarship offer when Arkansas extended an offer Tuesday evening.

Lane, 6-1, 180, 4.47 of Nacogdoches, Texas said he's going to talk to his father and see if they can make it to Fayetteville for the Hogs' spring game on April 26.

Sophomore guard Deshawn Williams, 6-1, 163 of Prime Prep Academy in Dallas reports offers from Connecticut and Colorado while drawing strong interest from Arkansas. He said he talks to Coach Mike Anderson and associate head coach Melvin Watkins. He said he's always wanted to play for his home state.

Williams played at Maumelle before transferring to Prime last fall. He'll play for the Arkansas Hawks in Real Deal in the Rock this weekend.

Linebacker Kendrick Jackson, 6-0, 221, 4.8 of Haynesville, Louisiana received an offer from Arkansas on Tuesday and is looking to visit the Hogs for the spring game.

He knows Junction City defensive end- tight end JaMario Bell, an Arkansas commitment and Pine Bluff tight end Will Gragg. He said they played baseball for a team in Camden from the fourth to the eighth grade.

He said there's a pretty good chance he commits to the Hogs, but needs to talk it over with his mother. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Nashville receiver La"Michael Pettway added an offer from Louisiana-LaFayette on Tuesday.

Arkansas point guard commitment Jabril Durham of Seminole State in Oklahoma has decided to sign with the Hogs at his school on Friday.

Razorback receiver coach Michael Smith and tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. arrived at North Little Rock about 10:15 this morning to check on K.J. Hill.

LaFayette County sophomore running back Tre'Darius Burks, 5-9, 215, 4.6 is drawing interest from Arkansas and has been invited to visit.

He has a 275 bench press, 425 squat and 245 power clean. He has long jumped 23-3 this season. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Lunney and Smith left North Little Rock about 11:25. Smith will be back to check out the Charging Wildcats' off season program during the evaluation period.

Smith visited Little Rock Central after leaving North Little Rock. As reported on Tuesday, Lunney is also set to visit Pine Bluff. He visited Fayetteville early in the morning.
