Hog visit updates

Defensive lineman McTelvin Agim of Hope is one of the top 2016 prospects in the state.

Arkansas hosted about 20 prospect for today's scrimmage.

Offensive lineman Kadarius Rowe and defensive end McTelvin Agim of Hope both enjoyed the visits.

Rowe said offensive line coach Sam Pittman complemented him on sliming down to 325 on his 6-3 frame. He said the pace of practice was impressive. Plans to attend an Arkansas camp this summer.

Agim said the visit helped the Hogs' chances for him. He said Arkansas treated them well and he felt a family atmosphere.

He liked seeing Coach Bret Bielema wearing slide sandals. The scenery of Fayetteville and the drive on I-540 was one the best parts of the trip.

Quarterback Kasey Ford of Bentonville said the coaches run a tight ship and he believes his talents are suited well for Arkansas' pro-style offense. He said the Hogs threw a lot in today's practice. The facilities, including the practice fields also stood out.

Receiver Jordan Jones of Smackover loved the intensity of the practice. The visit was more than he expected. He bonded well with Coach Bret Bielema and receivers coach Michael Smith.

He said Bielema told him he expects Jones to receive a scholarship in the near future.

Defensive lineman Austin Capps of Star City said the visit went really good. He said the best part of the visit was touring the new football complex.

He really liked defensive line coach Rory Segrest and was impressed with his knowledge of the game. He plans a return trip sometime during the summer.

Fort Smith Northside linebacker Deontre Hardwick called the visit smooth.

Jonesboro running back Denzel Mitchell wasn't able to make the trip.

Highly recruited offensive linemen Gabe Megginson, 6-5, 280, 5.2 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Jacksonville, Illinois said he had a great visit. He loved the campus. Didn't think it would be so beautiful.

Megginson said the before and after pictures of the player he saw from strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert really impressed him.

He said the visit really bumped Arkansas' chances up. He wanted to come back for the spring game but he has prom. He wants to get his parents back up for another visit.

Pine Bluff Coach Bobby Bolding said everything went well with tight end-defensive end John Tate, safety David Beasley, quarterback- defensive back Ladarius Skelton and running back Romar Reades of Pine Bluff.

Bolding didn't make the trip but an assistant coach did and he heard nothing but positive things about the visit.

6:52 update

Offensive lineman Keanton Sutherland, 6-5, 280, 5.13 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of Flower Mound, (Texas), Marcus was able top see offensive line coach Sam Pittman in action. He said Pittman is excited about his job and knows how make his players listen and work for him. Also commented on how Pittman cares about the players.

He was impressed by the way practice was ran.

Sutherland said Dan Skipper, Luke Charpentier and Brey Cook impressed him.

Little Rock Catholic sophomore quarterback Andre Sale, 6-2, 195 said he had a great visit and was very impressed with the facilities and the crispness of the practice.

He plans to attend the Hogs' camp in June. He said offensive coordinator Jim Chaney plans to watch him throw during the evaluation period. Video highlights CLICK HERE
