FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas finished third at the SEC Women's Golf Championship in Birmingham, Ala.
The Razorbacks posted a final round 301 and was 13 strokes behind Vanderbilt, which won the championship. South Carolina finished second.
“We didn’t get the team result we hoped for this weekend,” Arkansas head coach Shauna Estes-Taylor said, “but I’m so proud of the way we finished."
Sophomore Gabriela Lopez was the Razorbacks' top finisher, coming in tied for second. It was the highest finish by an Arkansas golfer at the championship since Stacy Lewis won the event in 2005 and 2008.
Senior Emily Tubert shot a 76 in the final round and finished tied for 10th.
