Monday recruiting tidbits

Highly recruited offensive lineman Grant Newsome is looking to visit Arkansas in mid-June.

ESPN 300 offensive tackle Grant Newsome said he'll probably visit Arkansas in mid-June. Offensive line coach Sam Pittman is his lead recruiter.

He's also planning to visit LSU and Alabama during the June trip.

Newsome, 6-7, 290, 5.23 of McLean, Virginia has 30 offers, including Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and others. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Highly recruited defensive end James Lockhart of Ennis, Texas said he's planning to visit Arkansas soon. ESPN rates him the No. 113 prospect in the nation. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Cornerback Jaylon Lane of Nacogdoches, Texas said he's trying to make it up for the spring game. He's up to 29 offers, including the Hogs.

As reported for sometime now, RB Chris Warren III of Rockwall, Texas and his mother will be on hand for the spring game.

Arkansas quarterback commit Ty Storey, who plans to attend the Hogs' spring game, was batting .714 before last week's games.

Others planning to attend the spring game- Fayetteville TE C.J. O'Grady, Highland WR Deon Stewart, S Jaylin Small of Nettleton,

Signees planning to visit for the spring game- CB Henre' Toliver, DE Anthony Brown, K Cole Helund, OT Brian Wallace Jr. DL Armon Watts, DL Jake Hall, DL Bijhon Jackson and S Santos Ramirez.

More names will be added during the week.

Highland athlete Avery Johnson and Pine Bluff TE Will Gragg are others planning to visit for Arkansas' spring game.

Oregon and Ole Miss will visit Fayetteville this week.

Memphis visited Bentonville last week. Arkansas and Tulsa are expected to visit soon. Look for sophomore quarterback Kasey Ford to see several offers come his way during the evaluation period. Offensive lineman Ean Pfeifer has about nine offers now and will likely see more come his way as schools visit the school.

Arkansas, Arkansas State, Oklahoma State, Alabama, Auburn are expected to visit Fort Smith Northside.

Arkansas, Navy, Ole Miss, Clemson, La. Tech and Memphis are some of the schools expected to JOnesboro in the coming weeks.

Illinois, Texas Tech and South Carolina visited North Little Rock this morning. The Red Raiders and Fighting Illni will be back in the afternoon for offseason workouts.

Illinois and Texas A&M are visiting Pine Bluff today. Sophomores tight end-defensive end John Tate, safety David Beasley, quarterback- defensive back Ladarius Skelton and running back Romar Reades will bring in schools in the next few years.
