Hogs in fifth place after Day 1

The Arkansas men’s golf team is in fifth place after the first day at the SEC Championship in St. Simons Island, Ga.

The Hogs posted an opening 280 and trail Alabama (272) by eight shots and Auburn (274). Georgia and South Carolina are tied for third at 277.

Nicholas Echavarria is tied for third in the individual standings with a 66 while Sebastian Cappelen and Kolton Crawford are tied for 21st at 71. Taylor Moore is tied for 31st with 72 and Zach Coats is 61st at 76.
