Only three days after being waived by the Tennessee Titans, Tyler Wilson signed with the Cincinnati Bengals Saturday.

The former Arkansas quarterback joins the Bengals the same day the team announced backup quarterback Jason Campbell, the former first-round draft pick from Auburn, suffered a "deep bruise" in his throwing elbow during Thursday's preseason game.

Wilson was selected by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2013 draft and spent the first 15 weeks of his rookie season in Oakland before being signed by the Titans. He was waived by the Titans Aug. 6.

He has yet to appear in a regular season game, but he completed 11-of-18 passes for 93 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in the 2013 preseason.

In Cincinnati, Wilson will compete with rookie fifth-round pick A.J. McCarron from Alabama and second-year undrafted quarterback Matt Scott from Arizona for a spot on the 53-man roster.
