— Linebacker Otha Peters has decided to transfer from Arkansas, coach Bret Bielema said Monday.

Peters, a junior, had been working as a backup middle linebacker for the Razorbacks this preseason.

"We will assist him with the process to find a new home moving forward," Bielema said on Twitter. "Wishing him the best!"

Peters has struggled with injuries throughout his college career, finishing his freshman season with 32 tackles and recording only nine tackles in seven games last season. His departure likely means junior college transfer Josh Williams will be the backup to Brooks Ellis at middle linebacker.
