NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Coach Kevin Stallings says guards Kedren Johnson and Dai-Jon Parker will not be allowed to rejoin the Vanderbilt Commodores this season and are transferring.

Stallings said being a Vanderbilt player is a privilege that comes with a "high level of responsibility" on and off the court. The coach said in a statement Friday night that standards were not met leading to his decision.

The coach says he agreed to wait on his announcement until Johnson and Parker had decided where they will transfer. Vanderbilt recruited six players who will be eligible this season.

Johnson was suspended all of last season for violating a university policy and averaged 8 points and 2.7 assists in two seasons. Parker averaged 5.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in three seasons.
