Brooks named SEC player of the week

— Arkansas guard Kelsey Brooks has been named the Southeastern Conference player of the week for the first time.

Brooks scored 41 points during the Razorbacks' two games at the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout in Las Vegas. She had a career-high 24 points in Arkansas' upset win over then-No. 17 Iowa on Friday.

The Razorbacks (6-0) are ranked No. 25 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 poll. Arkansas hosts South Dakota State on Thursday and No. 18 Rutgers on Sunday.
