Razorbacks men, women ranked in top 25

Arkansas men's coach Mike Anderson, left, and women's coach Jimmy Dykes have ranked teams this week.

— The Arkansas men's and women's basketball teams are ranked in this week's Associated Press Top 25 poll.

The Razorbacks' men are No. 18 and the women are tied for No. 25 in the poll. Both teams are 6-0 this season.

It is the first time both programs have been ranked during the same week since December 1998.

Arkansas' men are coming off a three-win week, beating Iona and North Texas at home, and SMU on the road. The Razorbacks were ranked No. 25 entering the week and moved up seven places in the poll.

The women won two games at the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout in Las Vegas. Arkansas beat then-No. 17 Iowa 77-67 on Friday and defeated Richmond 74-55 on Saturday.

Both programs have top 25 showdowns this week. The men travel to No. 20 Iowa State on Thursday, while the women host No. 18 Rutgers on Sunday.

It will be the first time since December 2000 that the Razorbacks' men have played a game in which both teams are ranked. The women haven't played in such a game since January 2013.
