Ragnow named to Freshman All-SEC team

Arkansas center Frank Ragnow walks to the line of scrimmage during the fourth quarter of a game against Texas A&M on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

— Arkansas center Frank Ragnow was named to the SEC's all-freshman team Thursday.

Playing center for the first time in his career, Ragnow rotated with junior Mitch Smothers and played more than 200 snaps, grading out at 70 percent on the season.

He helped pave the way for an offense that had two 1,000-yard rushers, as Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins each eclipsed the mark. Arkansas is the only team in the country this season with two such rushers.

Ragnow is the fourth Bret Bielema recruit to earn freshman all-SEC honors at Arkansas, joining Collins, Hunter Henry and Darius Philon, who were named to the team last year.

Travis Swanson in 2010 was the last center for the Razorbacks to be named to the freshman all-SEC team.
