Tight end Gragg signs UA financial aid agreement

Dumas tight end Will Gragg goes through drills during a scrimmage Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014 in Carlisle.

Dumas tight end Will Gragg on Thursday became the fifth football prospect to sign an athletic financial aid agreement with Arkansas.

Gragg, 6-4, 247, 4.8 seconds in the 40-yard dash, is rated a four-star-plus prospect by national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network.

The tight end will take part in the Razorbacks’ on-campus bowl practices, beginning Saturday.

“Will is already such a balanced tight end that we’re looking forward to seeing what his physicality and quickness brings to our offense in the spring,” Coach Bret Bielema said. “Will possesses the uncommon qualities that we are looking for in our men on and off the field, and the fact that he is from Arkansas only makes his choice that much more exciting.”

Gragg recorded 42 receptions for 456 yards and 2 touchdowns this season after transferring from Pine Bluff, where he had 31 catches for 321 yards and 5 touchdowns as a junior.

Quarterback Ty Storey, offensive lineman Zach Rogers and defensive linemen Daytrieon Dean and Hjalte Forholdt also signed athletic financial aid agreements with Arkansas. Storey and Rogers also will participate in bowl practices.
