Weather forces Hogs into basketball gym

— Rainy weather forced Arkansas to hold its final practice for the Texas Bowl indoors Saturday.

It just wasn't the kind of indoor facility to which the Razorbacks are accustomed.

Arkansas practiced inside the basketball gymnasium at St. Thomas High School. The Razorbacks were scheduled to practice on the football field for the school, which doesn't have an indoor football facility.

Players wore tennis shoes and light pads for the practice, which resembled a Thursday walk-through during the regular season.

Temperatures were in the 70s when Arkansas arrived in Houston on Friday, but fell into the 40s after heavy rains pushed through Saturday afternoon. The retractable roof at NRG Stadium will be closed for Monday's game between the Razorbacks and Texas.
