— Arkansas' Kevin Lazas was named the Southeastern Conference's field athlete of the week Tuesday.

Lazas recorded the nation's top score in the heptathlon last weekend at the Razorback Invitational, finishing with 5,923 points. Lazas is the defending NCAA champion in the event.

The SEC award is the first for Lazas this season. Sprinter and hurdler Omar McLeod has twice been named the league's freshman of the week.
