Froholdt brothers update

Defensive end Hjlate Froholdt, an Arkansas commitment, plans to arrive back in the United State in late June.

Arkansas defensive end commitment Hjalte Froholdt spoke to defensive line coach Rory Segrest for the first time on Monday. Segrest gave a rundown about his coaching background along with telling Froholdt that he had seen his video and was impressed.

Froholdt, 6-5, 275 pounds of Denmark is rated ESPN's No. 42 prospect and is a part of a promising 2015 class for the Razorbacks. He said he likes that Segrest coached in the NFL for five seasons and hopes he can became a great player under his watch. He also spoke with his lead recruiter, cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson. He plans to return to the United States this summer and hopes to attend Arkansas' June camp, but if not he'll arrive in July to enroll in prep school. Froholdt, who was 11 pounds at birth, said he's looking at schools in Florida and Connecticut, but nothing has been decided.

Froholdt's brother, Lars, who will turn 20 on August 19, will be too old to play at a prep school so he's looking at attending a junior college in order to try and earn a scholarship to a major college. Lars is looking at several schools, but hasn't decided on one. He's expected to play fullback or defensive lineman.

Hjalte, who will turn 18 on August 20, is set to begin practice soon for the start of the spring season for the Gold Diggers club team. He played four games for the club team and also represented Denmark's national team in the fall.

Hjalte and Lars, 6-1, 320 have been working hard in the weight room. Hjlate said he has increased his bench press from 285 to 325 since the summer. His squat was 500 and is now 575.

Lars has recorded a 365 bench press and 650 squat.
