UA golf wins second tournament

— Arkansas golf won its first tournament of the spring Sunday, besting a strong field at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.

The No. 23 Razorbacks finished six strokes ahead of No. 22 Florida State in the three day event. Arkansas' team shot a combined 1-under 279 Sunday at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.

Other teams in the tournament included No. 8 Central Florida, No. 11 UAB and No. 21 Vanderbilt.

Sebastian Cappelen and Taylor Moore each shot 2-under 68 Sunday to help the Razorbacks build on a three-stroke lead entering the final round. Cappelen and Moore finished tied for fourth in the individual standings.

The win was Arkansas' second of the season, having also won the Crooked Stick Intercollegiate last fall. The Razorbacks will compete at the Bayou City Collegiate Championships this weekend at Redstone Golf Club in Houston.
